Alien Crash Lands in Corfe!

It’s been an unusual week in Butterfly Class. On Monday morning the children came into school to find the wreckage of a spaceship in our playground. The Butterflies took it upon themselves to investigate and found it to be owned by a friendly alien called Beegu. However, Dorset Police mistakenly thought the alien to be dangerous, so it was up to the children to persuade them of how kind and caring Beegu really is. They did a fantastic job by writing and delivering persuasive speeches.Well done Butterfly Class! You saved the day!

Wheelie Club

We have just launched a new lunchtime scooter club and had our first session today. Well done to all those that came along. There is space for 10 children to sign up, initially from Dragonfly class but we will be offering it to the other classes soon!

Our trip to Nothe Fort as evacuees

We were met by the billeting officer, went to school, the shop, did the washing and had an air raid with fires to put out. What a day!

Great Explorers!

Our new topic in Butterfly Class this term is learning about different explorers. This inspired Flo to bravely go where no flamingo has gone before…. on an expedition of Corfe Primary’s school grounds! The children helped Flo by using maps to navigate and by helping her pack her expedition bag, thinking about what she would need for her journey.

A Special Visitor

We had a very special visitor in school on Wednesday for the children’s Christmas Party day.

Christmas Service at St Edward’s Church

We do hope you enjoyed our Christmas Celebration this morning. As usual, the children did a fabulous job of spreading Christmas cheer through songs, music, readings and poetry.

Merry Christmas!
