Welcome to Corfe Castle Primary School and Pre-School
Welcome to Corfe Castle CE Primary School and Pre- School:
At Corfe Castle CE Primary School and pre-school we provide nurturing care and stimulating education for children aged two and over.
In our Pre-School base, we focus on providing a safe and caring environment, with lots of opportunities for children to explore new activities, so that they discover the world for themselves and learn at their own pace. We aim to open up their horizons, help them make friends to grow up with and give them the confidence to make the most of life right from the start.
Our environment has a permanent outdoor shelter so that children can explore the outside in all weathers.
Our Staff:
Our wonderful staff are committed to ensuring your child is happy in our setting.
Mo Viney Pre-School Leader | Hello, My name is Mo. I have been at the pre-school since 2002 where I got my NVQ2 and 3 qualifications in childcare followed in 2013 with completing my foundation degree. The best part of the job is the time spent interacting with the children and the thrill when they accomplish something for the first time. Over the years I have met an interesting array of parents all with the same goal - to give their children the best start in life. |
Natalie Lambert Room Supervisor | Hello, my name is Natalie and I have worked at the pre-school since 2005.
I love my job and everyday is different. Seeing all the children grow and flourish in all areas in magical. I am very enthusiastic and full of energy. I love getting the children up and moving especially outside. |
Abigail Viney Pre-School Assistant | Hi, I’m Abi, I’ve been working in childcare for 12 years now and love seeing what the children learn and achieve while being in my care. There is no better satisfaction than helping a child complete an activity and seeing them progress. I would say I’m firm but fair, with lots of fun along the way. |
Debbie Jenkins Pre-School Assistant | Hi, I’m Debbie, since leaving school I have always had a passion in working with children. I went on to study my level 2 and 3 diploma in childcare and have spent near on 16 years working in childcare. Every child is unique in their personality and it’s so special to be able to be a part of their learning journey. |

Our Setting:
Since September 2024, we have joined with the school and are now housed in a new premise alongside the school's Reception and KS1 class. This has helped us foster those relationships with pupils across all Early Years and work with staff from within the school.
We have both indoor and outdoor space which promotes independent learning and provides opportunities for the development across the seven areas of learning.
Our outdoor space includes a construction area, sand pit and water tray, mud kitchen, covered outdoor learning area and opportunities to refine fine and gross motor skills through the use of climbing and play equipment.
Indoors, children have access to various areas including small word, messy play, literacy and numeracy, a role play area, topic and themed activities as well as the use of an tablets to promote IT skills.
As our outdoor and indoor areas are linked, the children are able to access these equally through free-flow play and learning.
